A huge Marilyn Monroe's statue in Guigang of Guangxi was recently removed only 6 months after its erection, this statue was built by a developer to  promoting a business. It is said that this is the largest Marilyn Monroe statue outside the United States at 8.18 meters high and weighing over 8000kg. The statue was made of stainless steel sheets. Many local residents do not want this states to be removed, and displaying a banner show "Monroe, Please Don't Go!"
