chairman of Henry Fok Estates Ltd.
Also served as member of
Drafting Committee for Basic Law of Hong Kong Special Administrative
Region (SAR), vice-chairman of Preliminary Committee of Preparatory
Committee of Hong Kong SAR, Preparatory Committee of SAR, and Selection
Committee of Hong Kong SAR.
Elected member of Standing
Committee of Fifth and Sixth CPPCC National Committees, vice-chairman of
Eighth CPPCC National Committee and member of Standing Committee of
Seventh National People's Congress.
Henry Ying Tung Fok died on
Nov. 7, 2006 in Beijing. Chinese government called Henry Ying Tung Fok
"the close friend" of the Chinese Communist Party. |
