Han Zhubin (1932- ) Born in February, 1932; a native of Harbin in Heilongjiang Province; joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in April, 1950. A worker and train captain under the Harbin Railways Administration, 1946-50; mainly took charge of work related to the Communist Youth Leagues under the Liuzhou Railways Administration in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, while shouldering some other posts, 1950-75. He served as standing committee member of the CPC Committee of the Liuzhou Railways Administration and Deputy Director of the administration's Political Department, 1975-78; Served as Director of the administration and Deputy Secretary of its Party Committee, 1978-1983. Han Zhubin served as director of the Shanghai Railways Administration and Secretary of its Communist Party Committee, 1983-90. From 1990-1997, Han became Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the leading Party group of the Ministry of Railways, Minister of Railways, and for some time secretary of the ministry's Commission for Discipline Inspection. Since 1997, Han has been Minister of Railways and Deputy Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC. He was member of the 14th and 15th Central Committees of the CPC, and was elected member of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC and the commission's deputy secretary at the 15th CPC National Congress. Han Zhubin was procurator-general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate between 1998 and 2003.
