3000 people sit at a 200 metre long table where a banquet is held to celebrate Maio's New Year in Leishan County (Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou ). This particular kind of banquet is called a "long table banquet" and it is a tradition of the Miao Nation's that has lasted several thousand years. Hosts are seated on the left, and guests are seated on the right. Such banquets are usually held for weddings, and other similarly important celebrations.
