(1918- ) Jing Shuping is vice-chairman of the Ninth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC): Jing, male; born July, 1918; a native of Shangyu, Zhejiang Province; member of China Democratic National Construction Association (CDNCA); graduated from St. John's University, Shanghai; member of Standing Committee of Eighth CPPCC National Committee; chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC); president of China Minsheng Banking Corporation. Served as deputy secretary-general and Standing Committee member of ACFIC from 1957 to 1979; served successively as manager of Real Estate Department and deputy general manager of China International Trust and Investment Corporation, special consultant for Foreign Investment Commission of People's Republic of China and Ministry of Foreign Trade, vice-chairman of ACFIC, and deputy secretary-general of CPPCC National Committee from 1979 to 1993. Serving as Standing Committee member of Eighth CPPCC National Committee, chairman of ACFIC and president of China Minsheng Banking Corporation since 1993. Member of Second to Fifth CPPCC National Committees and Standing Committee member of Sixth to Eighth CPPCC National Committees.
