Wang Ruilin, born 1930, native of Zhaoyuan, Shandong Province, joined Communist Party of China (CPC) 1947, received equivalent high school education, joined People's Liberation Army (PLA) July 1946, rank of general.
Served as staff officer of Confidential Division of Northeast Military Area Command, 1947-49; Deputy Section Chief of Confidential Division of Government Administration Council, 1949-52; Secretary of Office of Vice-Premier Deng Xiaoping, 1952-56; Secretary of Office of Party's General Secretary Deng Xiaoping, 1956-67, Secretary of Office of Vice-Premier Deng Xiaoping, 1973-76.
Staffer of Equipment Section of Mobilization Department with PLA Headquarters of General Staff, 1976-77; Secretary for Deng Xiaoping, 1977-78; Director of Office of Deng Xiaoping, 1978-83.
Deputy Director of General Office of CPC Central Committee, Director of Office of Central Military Commission, 1983-90; Deputy Director of General Office of CPC Central Commission and Secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection of CPC Central Military Commission, 1990-92.
Serving as member of Central Military Commission, Deputy Director of PLA General Political Department and the department's Deputy Party secretary since 1995.
Wang was member of CPC 13th and 14th Central Committees; is member of CPC 15th Central Committee and member of the Central Military Commission.
